Position Overview

Location: Kingswinford and Kinver (urban and rural sites)

Position: Salaried General Practitioner

Sessions: 4‑6 per week

Salary: Competitive, negotiable based on experience

Start Date: Flexible

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide primary care via surgery, telephone/video, Accurx, and home visits.
  • Participate in on‑call rota and document contemporary consultation notes.
  • Make autonomous clinical decisions guided by NICE guidelines and local pathways.
  • Assess patients with undifferentiated or undiagnosed problems and screen for disease risk factors.
  • Develop and implement care plans in line with practice disease‑management protocols.
  • Provide counselling, health education, and manage patient admission or discharge.
  • Prescribe acute and repeat medication using computer‑generated prescriptions and the practice formulary.
  • Collect audit data and participate in QOF and other clinical audits.
  • Attend Clinical and Salaried GP meetings as per the rota.

Qualifications & Experience

  • GMC registration with a valid licence to practise and inclusion on the NHS Performers List.
  • At least 2 years as a salaried GP, with experience in a primary care environment, QOF, audit, and medicines management.
  • Qualified GP – MBBS (or equivalent), MRCGP (CCT) or equivalent certification.
  • Full GMC registration; National Performers List registration; eligibility to practise independently in the UK.
  • Experience with EMIS clinical system and competence in Office and Outlook.
  • Full driving licence.
  • Interest in education, teaching, or specialist clinical areas is welcomed.

  • Teamwork and autonomy; ability to follow clinical policy and procedure.

Compliance & Safeguarding

Disclosure and Barring Service check required as per the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975. Candidates must provide a DBS check to verify no prior convictions.
