Duties and Responsibilities
- Produce scheme and detailed component design in CAD for a range of component / kit types including, but not limited to, pressings, forgings, fabrications, machined parts, injection mouldings and luggage.
- Drive the completion of work with full consideration given to all product, engineering, manufacturing and compliance constraints.
- Produce technical drawings to BS8888 & the latest industry standards.
- Liaise with stylists in the early phases of projects.
- Produce Scheme drawings to validate the integration of Accessory equipment with surrounding OE components.
- Release and up-issue products through the internal design change system.
- Create and manage Bill of Material Lists (BOMs).
- Liaise closely with other Triumph departments (in UK and Thailand), and external suppliers.
Skills & Experience Required
- MEng or BEng in an Mechanical Engineering Subject
- Has a highly technical approach, with emphasis on attention to detail.
- Experienced in Mechanical Design Engineering.
- Ability to collaborate on technical judgement as required to get value added from more experienced staff, with emerging ability to work independently as experience increases.
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday (39hrs per week.)
