Responsibilities
Actively trade and optimise BlackRock’s EMEA Equities and/or Fixed Income securities lending book for clients. Directly responsible for revenue generation and active performance management.
Build and implement trading strategies based on analysis of companies, sectors and market variables. Deliver market‑leading returns in a risk‑aware and controlled manner. Build and strengthen relationships across BlackRock and the securities lending and financing marketplace, and lead partnerships with internal teams including the global trading team to drive efficiencies, improve revenue and mitigate risks.
Handle day‑to‑day administrative issues supporting trading activities and liaise with trading operations. Work with Quantitative Research and Algorithmic Trading groups to innovate systems, trading analytics and coordinate implementation. Manage risk with strong attention to detail and maintain excellent communication and relationship‑management skills.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in Equities, Fixed Income, Securities Lending, Financing markets, Delta One, Prime Services or a related trading or financing role.
- Knowledge of EMEA markets is advantageous.
- Experience analysing corporate actions and event‑driven situations to identify pricing and relative value opportunities within securities lending and financing markets.
- Proficiency in Excel and experience using SQL, Python, VBA or Business Objects.
Work Environment
BlackRock’s hybrid work model requires employees to work at least four days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home one day a week. Some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities.
