Overview
Senior Systems Integration & Verification Engineer responsible for leading the development of hybrid‑electric propulsion systems. The role involves ensuring that all system requirements are fully tested, evidence is captured, and the integrated system meets technical and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- System integration planning
- Review system architectures and define the overall integration strategy.
- Develop and manage the full integration plan, including test requirements and activity estimates.
- Support project planning and ensure effort, schedule and technical dependencies are clearly understood.
- Test setup and equipment
- Define instrumentation required for system‑level testing and own the test equipment and instrumentation bill of materials.
- Specify supporting test equipment such as harnesses, junction boxes, connectors and other ancillary items.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to source or procure equipment for successful testing.
- Integration execution
- Lead, supervise, or directly execute system integration activities with hardware, firmware and software teams.
- Capture test data, produce integration reports, manage system integration problem reports and support resolution of complex technical issues.
- Verification planning and execution
- Define how system requirements will be verified in partnership with the Systems Lead Engineer.
- Maintain verification data within requirements tools such as IBM DOORS and CAMEO, write test procedures, and lead test readiness reviews.
- Execute dry runs and formal verification testing, analyze results, produce reports and ensure evidence is accurate, complete and traceable.
- Verification evidence and compliance
- Review verification evidence against requirements and agreed means of compliance.
- Support consolidation of system declaration of performance documentation.
- Continuous improvement
- Ensure work aligns with company engineering processes and identify opportunities to improve tools, processes and ways of working.
- Drive positive change across the integration and verification environment.
What you will bring
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
- Strong experience in systems integration and verification within motor drive systems.
- Experience in aerospace or another highly regulated engineering environment.
- Solid understanding of systems engineering processes.
- Experience working in a configuration‑controlled environment, including problem reports and change requests.
- Experience with requirements definition and management, ideally using IBM DOORS.
- Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering tools such as CAMEO.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work through complex technical issues.
- Confidence working autonomously with limited oversight.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with internal teams, external suppliers and stakeholders.
- Practical project management capability, including managing smaller projects, work packages or technical processes.
Essential experience and knowledge
- Experience using system modelling to support early integration.
- Knowledge of ARP4754A and ARP4761.
- Knowledge of DO‑160 and DO‑254.
- Basic knowledge of a modern high‑level programming language.
- Continuous improvement mindset.
- Curiosity, adaptability and enthusiasm to become multi‑skilled across different engineering areas.

Working arrangement
This role requires regular on‑site working, with a minimum of four days per week on site due to the hands‑on nature of the manufacturing, build, test and team leadership activities involved.
