Responsibilities
- Undertake assessments of individuals and their families in the designated care group with complex health presentations, including those service users presenting with higher levels of risk.
- Offer specialist nursing assessment and advice where required.
- Assess and manage ongoing risks as identified during the assessment, ensuring collaboration with the service user and carers; regularly review risk factors and adjust management as necessary.
- Update care plans and risk assessments in line with required standards.
- Contribute to the maintenance and development of the CAMHS and Trust nursing strategies.
- Ensure clinical practice is evidence based and consistent with relevant NICE guidelines and Trust policies and procedures.
- Provide supervision of junior staff and trainees where appropriate.
- Act within the NMC code of conduct at all times.
Qualifications & Experience
Registered Nurse with current registration (mental health / LD / Adult / Paediatric) appropriate to the job role.
Evidence of continuous professional development.
Experience of working within a CAMHS environment or relevant transferable skills.
Additional Requirements
Disclosure and Barring Service Check required. This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
Benefits & Working Arrangements
Full‑time duty worker based at the Osborn Centre, Fareham. Flexible working arrangements considered upon application. Service operates Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.
