Planning Team Leader
An exciting opportunity has arisen to help lead the strategic planning of Edinburgh’s health and social care services. This newly established post within the Strategy division of the Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership is responsible for the day‑to‑day running of the planning team. The successful candidate will manage a team of planning officers and support the development of high quality strategic plans for transformation, service improvement and service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Manage the planning team and oversee day‑to‑day operations.
- Develop and deliver evidence‑based strategic plans using data and analysis.
- Support the development of high‑quality transformation and service delivery plans.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Support the service manager for planning with the delivery of a robust planning function.
Qualifications
- Previous experience of service planning in a health and social care context.
- Sound understanding of health and social care policy and legislation.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to use data to develop evidence‑based plans in complex, multi‑functional environments.
- Ability to develop and manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
