Job Description:

Salary: £30,000 – 60,000 per year

Requirements

  • Strong commercial experience with React
  • Experience with modern JS frameworks including Remix and React Router
  • In-depth knowledge of TypeScript and JavaScript
  • Solid understanding of server-side rendering (SSR) and progressive enhancement
  • Experience using the MUI React component library
  • Strong experience building and consuming REST APIs
  • Hands‑on experience with end‑to‑end testing, ideally using Playwright
  • Experience working in Agile / Scrum teams
  • A good understanding of software design, implementation and deployment principles
  • Detail-oriented, quality-focused with strong time‑management and prioritisation skills

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain front‑end applications using React and modern JavaScript frameworks
  • Work across the full software development lifecycle: design, coding, testing, defect resolution, and deployment
  • Ensure work meets agreed quality, functionality, and delivery timelines
  • Participate fully in Agile, sprint‑based delivery, including planning, stand‑ups, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Build user interfaces that consume and integrate REST APIs
  • Apply best practices around code quality, performance, accessibility, and progressive enhancement
  • Support and mentor junior developers and contractors where appropriate
  • Collaborate with back‑end engineers and QA to deliver well‑rounded solutions
  • Contribute to shared standards, patterns, and continuous improvement across the team
