Head Resourcing is pleased to be working with a leading Public Body in Glasgow to recruit an experienced Security Architect. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping secure technology solutions across a large, complex enterprise environment supporting multiple partner organisations.

Working within the Strategy, Solutions and Architecture function, you will provide technical leadership on security architecture, ensuring security is embedded into technology change from design through to implementation. You’ll work closely with cyber security, infrastructure, project teams and senior stakeholders to develop secure, scalable solutions that align with business objectives, governance requirements and organisational risk appetite.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of security architecture principles, standards and design patterns.
  • Provide security architecture guidance across projects, programmes and operational change.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into secure solution designs.
  • Review and assure solutions to ensure security is embedded by design.
  • Evaluate new technologies and third-party solutions against security and compliance requirements.
  • Support architecture governance and contribute to cyber strategy and technology roadmaps.
  • Identify and mitigate security risks while ensuring compliance with standards including ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials and GDPR.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers and partner organisations.

About You

You’ll be an experienced Security Architect with a strong understanding of enterprise architecture, cloud technologies and modern cyber security practices. You’ll be comfortable influencing stakeholders at all levels and translating complex business requirements into practical, secure solutions.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Experience working as a Security Architect within a complex enterprise environment.
  • Knowledge of architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, SABSA or equivalent.
  • Experience developing security strategies, architecture roadmaps and secure solution designs.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms and security best practice.
  • Experience working with third-party suppliers and technology partners.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills.

Industry certifications

Industry certifications such as CISSP, TOGAF, SABSA or Microsoft Azure Security would be advantageous, as would experience within the public sector.

Hybrid:

2 Days per week in Glasgow

Up to £69k
