Job Overview

We are looking for a Data Implementation Analyst who takes ownership of tracking quality and delivers data that teams can trust to make decisions at pace. This role works at the intersection of Product, Engineering, and Analytics, shaping how we measure customer behaviour across a complex, high‑volume retail environment.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with Product Owners, Engineers, and Analysts to define success criteria for new features and journeys.
  • Translate business goals into clear, structured tracking designs that teams can implement with confidence.
  • Ensure measurement supports:
    • Product performance and feature adoption
    • Marketing attribution and ROI
    • Customer journey visibility
    • Experimentation and optimisation
    • Personalisation and audience activation
  • Write implementation‑ready Jira stories with strong acceptance criteria.
  • Define event structures, naming conventions, and data layer requirements.
  • Support both client‑side and server‑side tracking across web and app platforms.
  • Validate implementations to ensure shipped code is accurate, scalable, and usable.
  • Maintain tracking governance frameworks, standards, and documentation.
  • Drive consistent implementation of event taxonomies, naming conventions, and data collection practices across the group.
  • Conduct regular audits to identify gaps, duplication, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support root‑cause analysis and implement preventative controls to reduce future incidents.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation including:
    • Tracking specifications
    • Event catalogues and taxonomies
    • Validation processes
    • Measurement best practice guides

Qualifications & Experience

  • 2‑5 years of experience in digital analytics implementation or tracking.
  • Experience within ecommerce, product, or MarTech environments.
  • Strong understanding of customer journeys and measurement frameworks.
  • Ability to write clear, implementation‑ready user stories.
  • High attention to detail and a strong focus on data quality.

Technical Skills

  • GA4, GTM (web & server‑side)
  • BigQuery (plus CDPs such as Segment an advantage)
  • JavaScript/HTML/CSS basics, debugging tools, data layers & APIs
