Salary: £34,500 – 56,000 per year

Requirements

• We require strong experience in Java Core (version 8+).
• We require good knowledge of Spring Boot and Spring Framework, including developing in Spring with Hibernate.
• We require good knowledge of developing REST over HTTPS.
• We require experience developing within a microservice architecture.
• We require experience with web services using RESTful APIs.
• We require experience with distributed systems.
• We require knowledge and use of software design patterns.
• We require experience working in Agile development processes.
• We require knowledge of CI/CD delivery techniques.
• We require source code management experience using Git.
• We require experience using issue tracking systems such as Jira.
• We require experience with UML/SysML using Enterprise Architect or similar tools.
• We require the ability to self-motivate and work well within a team environment.
• We require the ability to promote innovation in self and others.
• We require the ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders in a confident and professional manner.
• SC clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• We will have the developer join a 7-member scrum team as part of a wider program to deliver a management system for a new satellite.
• We will have the developer contribute to all stages of the software development lifecycle.
• We will have the developer work on design, particularly using UML, development, particularly using Java technologies, and testing.
• We will have the developer develop code within an Agile scrum environment.
• We will have the developer work with the team to design, implement, and test features for a new product development.
• We will have the developer carry out task estimation in line with sprint planning.
