Role responsibilities
- Carry out initial assessments of detainees to identify any pressing medical needs, determine fitness to detain, fit for interview, fit for custody, fit for release, and fit for court while in the custody of Police Scotland, utilizing Forensic Medical Examiner opinion when required.
- Travel throughout the South East of Scotland Region when required, as determined by service needs.
Qualifications and requirements
- Current membership of the PVG Scheme for the required regulatory group (child and/or adult). If not a current member, an application must be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before commencing the post.
