Role: Emergency and Critical Care (ECC/ICU) Veterinarian

Salary: Up to £80,000 per annum (D.O.E)

Location: Eastcott Veterinary Hospital, Swindon

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Hours: Mixture of day and night shifts (5 days on, 5 days off, 5 nights on and 10 days off)

Responsibilities

  • Deliver critical care to ICU patients.
  • Triage and manage emergency cases.
  • Provide out‑of‑hours care for a network of local practices.
  • Work during day shifts with clinicians and nurses across specialist services.
  • Work during night shifts alongside experienced night nurses and rotating interns, with the reassurance of on‑call clinicians from each referral discipline and primary care services.

Requirements

  • An experienced clinician holding, or working towards, a certificate‑level ECC qualification.
  • Excellent communication skills with both clients and colleagues.
  • A proactive and positive attitude with a passion for emergency and critical care.
  • A strong team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
