Are you a registered nurse looking for a new challenge? If so, this is an ideal opportunity for you to join our dialysis team at the Dialysis Assessment Unit.
Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for patient assessments, training, discharge to home or transition to self‑care or shared care.
- Prioritise, assess, plan, evaluate and deliver all relevant aspects of care to an agreed and expected high standard.
- Work closely with the multi‑disciplinary team and contribute to the clinical governance process.
- Act as a mentor/preceptor to junior staff, with specific responsibility for pre‑registration students.
- Participate fully in a structured competency‑based programme, as required.
- Take delegated responsibility for the management of the clinical team on a shift basis, ensuring effective team management and maintenance of high standards of quality care.
Qualifications
- Registered nurse – 2 years experience post NMC registration.
- Haemodialysis experience – minimum 5 years dialysis experience.
- Passion for patient education and in‑home therapies.
- Ability to empower patients and train them to achieve independence.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
Working Hours
The unit operates 6 days a week – Monday to Saturday 06:45‑20:15.
