Overview

Registered Practitioner Psychologist role at Priory Hospital Kempe View. Full‑time position, 37.5 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans.
  • Undertake routine tasks and activities directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.
  • Receive and respond promptly to referrals; undertake assessments to determine and plan an effective therapy programme for assigned clients using appropriate treatments, activities and interventions.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions within the given field of therapy, ensuring activities continue to meet client needs and align with the client therapy plan.
  • Manage an assigned caseload within agreed timescales, maintaining regular interaction and communication with clients, professional colleagues and clinical staff.
  • All roles are subject to a successful disclosure at an appropriate level from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), Access NI or Disclosure Scotland. Priory will cover the cost of a DBS check.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Registered Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) – mandatory.
  • Chartered with the British Psychological Society (BPS) preferred.
  • Minimum of a relevant Master’s degree, along with a recognised postgraduate qualification and accreditation from the appropriate professional body (BABCP, BCP, BPS or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated prior experience and practical exposure within chosen field of therapy, ensuring clinical competence and applied knowledge for high‑quality therapeutic practice.
