Responsibilities
You’ll be part of a highly experienced engineering team, working a days & nights rotation supporting a fast‑paced production environment with a range of specialist machinery.
- Maintaining and repairing mechanical plant and equipment in line with schedules and specifications to maximise reliability and minimise downtime, including fault finding and reactive repairs.
- Identifying recurring mechanical issues and implementing long‑term fixes through root cause analysis.
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to ensure optimal machine performance.
- Ensuring all tools and maintenance equipment are in good condition and fit for purpose.
- Supporting and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
Qualifications
- Ideally qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
- A time‑served, apprentice‑trained engineer with a strong mechanical background is essential.
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Basic electrical fault‑finding skills would be advantageous, but the role is mechanically focused.
