Overview
POSITION SUMMARY: This position plays a critical role in hospital safety by cleaning the facilities to hospital standards. The EVS Technician I aids in the prevention of communicable disease by thoroughly disinfecting public areas and private rooms. Cleans office and administrative areas in hospital as well as outpatient care centers, restrooms, clinical equipment, floors and hallways. May also be responsible for linen stocking and delivery.

- Possess basic phone and computer skills (email, texting, etc.), including relevant electronic and communication devices.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail.
- Work well under pressure and handle difficult situations involving patients, physicians, or others.
- Observe safety precautions at all times and use safety signs (e.g., “wet floor”).
- Adhere to regulatory and safety requirements related to all assigned work.
- Report safety hazards as appropriate.
- Maintain confidentiality of all medical, financial, and legal information.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and understand the English language.
Salary and Benefits
Salary Range: Minimum $16.25/hour – Maximum $25.11/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
