Lead Site Engineer

Chesterfield – £61,000 per year

TXM Recruit are partnering with a leading, global intralogistics business who specialise in the design, development and maintenance of highly automated systems. We are searching for a Lead Site Engineer to join the team. The role involves managing stakeholders, leading a small team, CMMS management and supporting maintenance tasks within a fast‑paced environment.

Shift Pattern:

• Monday – Friday Shift
• Double Days
• 6am – 2pm / 2pm – 10pm rotating weekly

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance tasks across the site, and contributing to continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Performing electrical and mechanical maintenance on automated systems.
• Mechanical maintenance tasks such as strip‑down and re‑assembly of equipment, replacement of components and re‑lacing of belts.
• Electrical testing using a multimeter, interpreting electrical diagrams & symbols to identify faults and working up to 480V.
• Managing CMMS and all maintenance allocation.
• Stakeholder management.
• Leading a small team while promoting and building customer relations.
• Tracking budgets.
• KPI tracking.

Skills and Qualifications Required:

• Completed an apprenticeship in an Electromechanical discipline to a minimum NVQ level 3.
• Experience with automated systems.
• HNC/HND NVQ Level 5 desirable.
• Understanding of a WMS or WCS system is beneficial.
• Pneumatic and hydraulic knowledge is beneficial.
• Computer literate with Microsoft Office skills.
