Service Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and technically skilled Service Engineer to join our team. The Service Engineer works as part of a team within Motion-Go, by TVS Interfleet and has responsibility for the service, maintenance and repair of vehicles, both at Wisbech and customer sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair vehicles at the workshop and on customer sites.
• Interact with customers to complete fault and diagnostic investigations.
• Support maintenance and repair of contract and customer vehicles at appropriate sites when requested.
• Accurately assemble appropriate equipment to heavy goods vehicles and trailers according to customer build specifications.
• Ensure all jobs issued are completed within the given timescales.
• Accurately complete and return each job card issued.
• Ensure compliance with all aspects of the Health & Safety policy.
• Promote equality and diversity in the workplace.
• Perform any other duties as directed by the Foreman.

Qualifications

• HGV qualified (Class 1 or 2 licence).
• Full, clean UK driving licence.
• Relevant engineering qualification (preferred).
• Technician experience.
• Experience working with blowers, tippers, flatbeds, cranes, tail-lifts and box vehicles.
• Experience in a customer‑facing environment.
• Experience in welding, including pipework.
• Proven ability to work off own initiative.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Own mechanical tools.
