About the Role
We are looking for people who want to make a difference working alongside the Police in custody suites, caring for detainees, supporting them during custody and working with other agencies on rehabilitation. The next ITC course starts 28 September in Birmingham for two weeks, with a hotel provided. You will be paid for the days you attend the ITC course and are expected to complete national Police Vetting prior to starting the role.
Responsibilities
The custody suites are an energetic place to work, with no two shifts the same. Whilst detainees are in custody, we provide individuals with all their physical, mental healthcare and wellbeing needs. You will escort detainees, make recorded observations as per their individual plan, and work with colleagues and the Police to deal with any detainee that is a risk of harming themselves.

- Holiday entitlement based on the hours you work

You also gain high‑street discounts, a cycle‑to‑work scheme, life cover equal to the greater of your annual salary or £10,000, a save‑as‑you‑earn scheme, a Mitie Matching Share Plan, and Mitie Stars recognition with cash prizes.
