All successful applicants must undertake an enhanced DBS check, including barred list information, as this post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. The college will conduct a comprehensive unsafe recruitment check in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE). Safeguarding training is mandatory and will form part of your induction and ongoing CPD.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality teaching across Level2 and Level3 agricultural engineering programmes.
- Design and deliver engaging lessons that combine practical and theoretical content.
- Follow agreed schemes of work, assessment plans and student‑monitoring procedures to ensure learners achieve and exceed target grades.
- Maintain accurate records of learning and assess progress of young learners.
Qualifications
- Relevant professional qualification in Agricultural Engineering or a related field.
- Industry experience within the agricultural or land‑based engineering sector.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and support learners, monitoring their progress.
- Commitment to high standards and continuous improvement.
- Confidence in using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
- Teaching qualification not essential; willingness to work towards one in line with current regulations.
