E-commerce IT Manager

Salary: £58,000 – 60,000 per year

Requirements

• We are looking for an experienced IT Manager with a strong background in e-commerce.
• We need proven experience managing IT infrastructure within a fast-paced business.
• We require strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune and Windows environments.
• We are looking for a proactive leader with experience leading or coaching team members.
• We need strong problem-solving skills, a hands‑on approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• We expect experience with networking, cyber security, backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Relevant Microsoft, Cisco or CompTIA certifications would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• We will take ownership of the day-to-day management, performance and security of our IT infrastructure.
• We will lead, mentor and develop a 1st/2nd Line Systems Administrator, providing guidance and supporting their professional development.
• We will manage servers, networks, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune and end-user environments.
• We will maintain office infrastructure including Wi‑Fi, networking equipment and VoIP systems.
• We will ensure backups, disaster recovery and business continuity plans remain effective and up to date.
• We will oversee hardware procurement, device deployment and secure onboarding and offboarding processes.
• We will deliver infrastructure upgrades, technology projects and continuous system improvements.
• We will produce and maintain technical documentation, policies and operational procedures.
• We will work closely with internal departments to support business-critical systems and projects.
• We will manage relationships with external IT suppliers and technology partners.
• We will identify opportunities to strengthen cyber security, improve resilience and enhance operational efficiency.

We are a successful and growing online business based in Birmingham. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity with hybrid working available after 6 months.
