Job Description:

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate community rail projects from planning through to delivery.
  • Support volunteers and community groups involved in Partnership activities.
  • Organise meetings, events and community engagement activities.
  • Liaise with partners across the railway industry, local authorities, businesses and voluntary organisations.
  • Prepare reports, maintain project records and monitor project progress.
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support for the Partnership.
  • Assist with communications, stakeholder engagement and promotional activities.
  • Help identify opportunities for new projects and collaborative working.

About you

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • A confident communicator who enjoys working with people.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team.
  • Passionate about community development and partnership working.

Experience in project coordination, administration, community engagement, local government, transport, charities or the voluntary sector would be advantageous but is not essential.

What we offer

  • Flexible hybrid working, with home-based working and travel across the Partnership area.
  • Up to 15 hours per week, with flexible working arrangements to support both the needs of the Partnership and the successful applicant.
  • Salary: £14.03 to £18.19 per hour (£27,000 to £35,000 full-time equivalent, pro rata), depending on experience.
