Job Summary
The Radiotherapy Network Programme Manager will be responsible for the delivery of the annual workplan, designed to meet the aims of NHS England’s Radiotherapy Transformation programme. The role involves managing Network Operations & Infrastructure, Workforce Sustainability, Technology & Innovation, and Quality and Patient Experience, while fostering collaboration between radiotherapy providers across Yorkshire and Humberside.

Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of the network’s annual workplan, ensuring compliance with NHS England Service Specifications and the Radiotherapy Transformation Programme.
- Manage each workstream and associated projects, identifying opportunities for improvement and monitoring progress.
- Coordinate with the three NHS Provider organisations – The Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust, Humber Health Partnership and Sheffield Teaching Hospitals – and external partners such as NHS England Specialised Commissioners, ICBs, Cancer Alliances and professional bodies.
- Maintain accountability, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple competing priorities.
- Promote collaboration and effective communication across all teams in the Yorkshire and Humber Radiotherapy Network.
Qualifications
- Experience in project or programme management, with a focus on change and transformation.
- Proven ability to manage diverse stakeholders and interpret and implement policy changes.
- Knowledge of NHS England Service Specifications and radiotherapy service standards.
Person Specification
- Essential: Experience leading complex programmes, strong governance and reporting skills, ability to travel across the network.
- Desirable: Experience in the healthcare sector, particularly in radiotherapy services, and familiarity with quality improvement frameworks.
