Quality Control Team Member

Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Control Team Member to join our team at our site in Loughton, Essex. Reporting to the Quality Control FLM, you will be involved in testing, inspection and auditing our banknotes to ensure manufactured products meet the required quality standards and support the team in achieving departmental and site targets.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and audit banknotes, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
• Complete all checks and supporting documentation accurately and timely.
• Liaise with stakeholders to support and/or elevate quality events and actions (e.g., in‑process and final LOTs).
• Facilitate shift handovers and cross‑shift communication.
• Participate actively in continuous improvement initiatives with the team.
• Support customer/supplier investigations if required.

Qualifications

• Excellent PC skills (MS Office, ERP systems, SAGE, QIS).
• Good attention to detail, good eyesight and ability to discern colour.
• Background in a quality‑control focused role.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Effective and concise communicator.
• Experience recording results using measuring equipment.
• Problem‑solving experience and ability to work under pressure.
• Leadership skills.

• Shift pattern: 24/5, 12‑hour shifts (6:00am‑6:00pm or 6:00pm‑6:00am, Monday–Friday).
• Average attendance: 40hours per week, including unpaid breaks.
• Basic salary: £39,031 per annum on Double Days, £41,313 per annum on 24/5 pattern; rises to £43,823 after 6‑month probation.
