Data Strategy & Insights Manager

Data strategy and insight leadership role within Cheshire Wildlife Trust. The manager will lead the Data & Insights Team, shaping the data strategy and implementing systems and culture that enable evidence‑based decision‑making across the Trust.
The successful candidate will take ownership of data infrastructure, systems and insight capability, overseeing platforms including our CRM and GIS. They will develop the data strategy, translate complex data into clear analysis, help plan, prioritise and demonstrate impact, and foster a culture in which evidence drives decisions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the Data & Insights Team and build organisational capability.
- Develop the data strategy and oversee data governance and GDPR compliance.
- Maintain and enhance the CRM and GIS platforms to deliver high quality data insights.
- Translate complex data into actionable analysis for internal stakeholders.
- Drive prioritisation and impact measurement of data initiatives.
Required experience and skills:
- Proven experience in data management or business intelligence.
- Strong competency with CRM systems and data governance.
- Knowledge of GDPR and data protection principles.
- Leadership experience managing a technical or analytical team.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Passion for wildlife and commitment to making a difference.
