3-Month Initial Contract | £450 per day | Outside IR35 | Hybrid – 2 days in office
We’re working exclusively with a leading IT consultancy that is kicking off an exciting transformation programme with a new client at the very start of their digital and automation journey.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Technical Business Analyst with experience in manufacturing, engineering or make-to-order production environments who enjoys working on greenfield transformation projects, uncovering complex business processes and identifying opportunities to leverage technology, automation and AI.
The Role
You’ll be embedded within a discovery and assessment phase, working closely with business stakeholders to understand and document existing operational processes that have evolved organically over many years.
A key part of the engagement will involve capturing “as-is” processes, much of which currently resides as undocumented knowledge within the business. You’ll identify challenges around systemisation, standardisation and process optimisation while working alongside technical consultants to shape a roadmap for future delivery.
This isn’t just a traditional BA assignment—you’ll also be expected to recognise opportunities where automation and AI could streamline manual activities and improve efficiency.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead workshops with business stakeholders to capture current (“as-is”) processes.
- Document complex operational workflows and identify pain points.
- Analyse manual processes and recommend opportunities for systemisation.
- Identify automation and AI opportunities across business operations.
- Work alongside solution architects and technical consultants during the discovery phase.
- Produce high-quality process maps, documentation and business requirements.
- Support impact assessments and help shape the future delivery roadmap.
Experience Required
- Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst on digital transformation programmes.
- Strong process mapping and business analysis skills.
- Experience working on discovery, assessment or greenfield projects.
- Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels and extract undocumented business knowledge.
- Experience identifying process improvement, automation or AI opportunities.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced consultancy environments.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Initial 3-month contract
- Likely extension following successful discovery phase.
