Business Development Manager – Electrical Sector
Location: Telford, Stoke on Trent, Cheshire, North Wales, Liverpool, Warrington. Remotely based with on‑site customer visits within the designated territory.
Salary: GBP 40,000 – 50,000 NEG DOE OTE, with excellent basic pay, bonus, company car, pension, health insurance, critical illness cover, and life assurance benefits.
Role Overview
You will identify and promote a full range of electrical, lighting, power distribution, factory automation and process automation solutions across a wide variety of industries. You will engage decision makers to build and develop relationships, achieve sales targets, and support the local Regional Sales Manager. The company provides an extensive supplier product portfolio, customer database, marketing support, technical assistance and ongoing training.
Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities to sell electrical, lighting, power distribution, factory automation and process automation solutions.
- Plan and manage a diary of customer visits and remote engagements within your territory.
- Develop and maintain relationships with decision makers and key stakeholders.
- Contribute to sales target achievement and participate in the bonus scheme.
- Utilise marketing support and customer database to generate leads.
- Collaborate with technical support for product information and training.
Qualifications & Skills
- Demonstrable sales career history and success in the industrial electrical market.
- Strong commercial and technical ability with product knowledge in electrical or related areas.
- Time‑management, organisation and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self‑motivation, driven and positive “can‑do” attitude.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365.
- Customer‑focused approach.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Eligibility to work in the UK – no sponsorship available.
Eligibility
Based in Liverpool, Warrington, Stoke on Trent, Chester, Crewe, or with good access to road networks. Candidates located anywhere within the territory will also be considered.
