Network & Infrastructure Engineer

Location: London / Hybrid

Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 DOE

About the Role

Veritas Workspace Solutions is a growing Managed Service Provider (MSP) delivering networking, cloud, cyber security, telecommunications and IT infrastructure solutions to businesses across the UK. We are looking for an experienced Network & Infrastructure Engineer to join our technical team. This is a hands‑on role combining project delivery, customer support, infrastructure design and technical consultancy across multiple client environments.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with a variety of technologies, visiting customer sites, delivering projects and acting as a trusted technical advisor.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design, implement and support customer network infrastructure.
2. Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls and wireless networks.
3. Support LAN, WAN, VPN and SD-WAN environments.
4. Troubleshoot complex network and connectivity issues.
5. Manage VLANs, routing and switching configurations.
6. Support Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud environments.
7. Maintain Windows Server and Active Directory infrastructure.
8. Support VMware and Hyper-V virtualisation platforms.
9. Deliver infrastructure upgrades, migrations and deployment projects.
10. Monitor network performance, availability and security.
11. Assist with cyber security improvements and best practices.
12. Conduct customer infrastructure reviews and technical assessments.
13. Participate in customer onboarding and service transitions.
14. Assist with technical pre-sales and solution design activities.
15. Produce and maintain technical documentation and network diagrams.
16. Provide remote and onsite support across customer environments.
17. Act as a senior escalation point for complex technical issues.
18. Work closely with vendors, carriers and technology partners.
19. Visit customer sites across London and the South East as required.
20. Identify opportunities to improve customer infrastructure and resilience.

Essential Skills & Experience

1. 3+ years’ experience in a Network Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer or similar role.
2. Strong understanding of IP addressing, subnetting, DNS and DHCP.
3. Knowledge of TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP and core networking protocols.
4. Strong understanding of routing, switching and VLAN technologies.
5. Experience with Fortinet, Sophos, Cisco Meraki or equivalent networking platforms.
6. Experience supporting Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
7. Experience with VMware or Hyper-V environments.
8. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
9. Excellent customer-facing communication skills.
10. Full UK driving licence preferred.

Desirable

• CCNA, CCNP or equivalent certification
• MSP experience
• Azure certifications
• VoIP and telecommunications experience
• Cyber security knowledge
