Overview
The Early Years Engagement Co‑ordinator (2‑year fixed term) will join the Strategic Librarian Team at Wirral Council to lead the development and delivery of the early years engagement offer across Wirral Libraries.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of activities, events and partnerships that support babies, young children and their families to engage with reading, learning and library services from birth.
- Manage the BookStart programme as a key strand of early years engagement, alongside broader activity delivery and programme development.
- Collaborate with library staff, community partners and stakeholders to develop engaging early years content and programmes.
- Assess and evaluate the impact of early years engagement initiatives, providing reporting and recommendations to the Strategic Librarian Team.
Qualifications
- Existing right to work in the UK before commencing employment.
- Experience in designing and delivering early years programmes or related activities.
