QHSE Officer
Our Client, a leading brand in their industry sector, requires an experienced QHSE Officer. This full‑time, permanent role is primarily site based with occasional visits to other sites, and a valid driving licence is required.
Responsibilities
- Lead the overall activities of the QHSE department and represent QHSE functions across the organization.
- Promote a culture of continual improvement and positive behaviours throughout the business.
- Maintain and enhance quality, environmental, and health & safety systems.
- Conduct audits and ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and Ex (ATEX/IECEx) standards.
- Coordinate training and reporting on QHSE metrics.
- Manage the WEEE analysis and registration process.
- Engage with customers and suppliers on safety issues, negotiating skills, and dispute resolution.
Qualifications & Abilities
- Relevant experience in a QMS/EMS role.
- Strong technical engineering background in electrical and mechanical engineering.
- IRCA training or audit experience.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and Ex (ATEX/IECEx) standards.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong decision‑making and team‑working abilities.
- Experience with complaint management database systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
- NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (desirable).
