QHSE Officer

Our Client, a leading brand in their industry sector, requires an experienced QHSE Officer. This full‑time, permanent role is primarily site based with occasional visits to other sites, and a valid driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall activities of the QHSE department and represent QHSE functions across the organization.
• Promote a culture of continual improvement and positive behaviours throughout the business.
• Maintain and enhance quality, environmental, and health & safety systems.
• Conduct audits and ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and Ex (ATEX/IECEx) standards.
• Coordinate training and reporting on QHSE metrics.
• Manage the WEEE analysis and registration process.
• Engage with customers and suppliers on safety issues, negotiating skills, and dispute resolution.

Qualifications & Abilities

• Relevant experience in a QMS/EMS role.
• Strong technical engineering background in electrical and mechanical engineering.
• IRCA training or audit experience.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and Ex (ATEX/IECEx) standards.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong decision‑making and team‑working abilities.
• Experience with complaint management database systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
• NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (desirable).
