About the role

We are seeking 2 Project Managers to join our dynamic team.

The Project Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of projects, events and initiatives that support the organisation’s strategic objectives and participant value proposition.

Working across multiple sustainability themes and projects, the Project Manager will lead the planning, coordination, and implementation of activities from inception to evaluation. They will collaborate closely with Topic Leads, external stakeholders and internal teams to ensure programmes are delivered efficiently, achieve their intended outcomes and provide a high‑quality participant experience.

The role requires strong project management, stakeholder engagement and organisational skills, alongside the ability to work flexibly across a diverse portfolio of sustainability topics and initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience in corporate sustainability, or other aspects of our cause.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to adapt tone and language to suit different audiences and contexts.
  • Sound judgement and attention to detail in all aspects of delivery.
  • Proficient in research and analysis, with the ability to evaluate information critically and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Initiative and proactive problem‑solving, with the capacity to work independently.
  • A collaborative and inclusive working style, with the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, members, and external stakeholders.
  • Confidence in presenting, facilitating, and moderating sessions.

Onboarding

To help you settle quickly, we will provide a thorough and comprehensive onboarding. Through meetings with key colleagues and online training, we will help you become familiar with our way of working and our value proposition.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Support and coordinate the end‑to‑end delivery of assigned projects, programmes, and initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, risk registers, and delivery schedules ensuring activities are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard.
  • Monitor programme performance and outcomes, track engagement data, gather stakeholder feedback, and contribute to reporting and continuous improvement activities to support programme effectiveness and organisational learning.
  • Support the planning and delivery of events, workshops, and convenings, coordinating logistics, venues, suppliers, and participant communications to ensure activities run smoothly and to a high standard.

Research

  • Support Topic Leads in gathering and synthesising background research to inform programme design and development.
  • Contribute to the production of briefings, reports, and other thought leadership outputs as required.
  • Stay informed of relevant developments in sustainability, business practice, and policy to ensure project activities remain current and responsive.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as the primary operational contact for programme participants, speakers, partners, sponsors, and external stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with members and key stakeholders.
  • Facilitate effective communication between internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support the recruitment, engagement, and retention of programme participants.
  • Ensure stakeholders receive a high‑quality and professional experience across all programme activities.
  • Liaise with Global Compact Office (GCO) and other Country Networks participating in or collaborating on initiatives.
  • Work closely with Topic Leads and Impact Manager to translate strategic priorities and subject matter expertise into high‑quality programme delivery.
  • Support the implementation of programme content, resources and activities developed by Topic Leads and external experts.
  • Collect and share delivery insights and participant feedback to support programme development.
  • Support other team members where and when needed. Contribute to the continuous improvement of team practices by sharing constructive feedback.

This is a full‑time position (37.5 hours per week). The salary offered is £34,000-£42,000 per annum depending on experience.
