Ice Cream Regional Business Development Manager

Job Purpose
You will develop & grow the Ice Cream portfolio with existing and prospective customers. Your role will lead the regional field sales team to execute the sales strategy, account manage up to five top independent regional leisure customers and all indirect wholesalers in your region. You will be accountable for achieving annual growth targets through effective team leadership, relationship building with key stakeholders in the OOH Ice Cream team, and securing agreement to Joint Business Plans.
Responsibilities
- Manage portfolio of new and existing customers and lead the 3rd‑party field sales team to deliver against distribution and execution targets each month, quarter and year.
- Drive internal P&L delivery and external market‑share growth of all indirect wholesalers in the region.
- Lead the field team to executional success by providing strategic direction using market knowledge and outlet data.
- Account‑manage the national In‑direct Wholesale Buying Group (Ice Cream Alliance) and share data, insights and opportunities with national teams.
- Provide full end‑to‑end account management of a direct regional wholesaler.
- Work cross‑functionally with direct regional and national wholesaler partners to grow distribution and availability of the full portfolio at outlet level.
- Develop a customer‑centric culture with data and insight as the foundation for sales growth.
- Lead all proof‑of‑concept initiatives within the leisure channel before national roll‑out.
- Manage the regional CAPEX budget to deliver best ROI and track existing CAPEX equipment.
- Approve P&L and investment spend/business cases within the financial framework and channel lead sign‑off.
- Lead large‑scale and complex contractual customer negotiations within the legal framework.
- Ensure all administrative tasks are completed in full and in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Proven track record managing multiple influential retail/leisure customers and building brand new opportunities.
- Exceptional account management skills and ability to plan and prioritise tasks successfully.
- Advanced negotiation and customer‑relationship building skills.
- Robust commercial understanding, P&L literacy, and strong analytical skills to derive insights from data.
- Proactive, entrepreneurial approach to grow existing and new customers ahead of competition.
- Strong IT skills, particularly MS Office and ability to use sales systems such as Power BI.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
