As a Senior Solutions Architect on the AWS WWPS Partner team, you will shape and deliver a strategy for broad adoption of AWS services—AI/ML, high‑performance computing (HPC), advanced analytics, digital engineering, and manufacturing systems modernization—directly with defence‑sector systems integrators, consultants, and technology partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical strategy and architecture for defence‑sector partners undergoing cloud adoption, modernization, and digital transformation.
- Own end‑to‑end solution architecture spanning AI/ML, HPC, digital engineering, advanced manufacturing systems, and data platforms on AWS.
- Act as a trusted advisor at the executive level, translating business objectives into AWS‑native architectures with clear, actionable modernization roadmaps.
- Apply defence industry expertise—understanding mission‑critical workflows, compliance frameworks, and operational constraints unique to A&D partners—to drive best practices.
- Provide thought leadership, capturing and sharing best‑practice knowledge within the AWS Solutions Architect community.
- Drive architectural decisions across multiple concurrent partner engagements, ensuring AWS is positioned as the strategic platform of choice.
Additional Requirements
• UK national required with or ability to obtain UK Security Clearance.• Up to 25% travel may be required.
Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data & analytics.
- 3+ years of direct design, implementation, or consulting experience with applications and infrastructures.
- Strong communication skills across technical and non‑technical audiences, including executive‑level stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience.
- Experience in a technical role within a sales organization.
- Experience with AI/ML, HPC, digital engineering, advanced manufacturing, or data engineering workloads on AWS.
- Familiarity with defence compliance frameworks.
