Overview

We are seeking ambitious Consultant Dermatologists to work with us in the South‑East of England. You will join a team of 23 consultants providing expert care in the diagnosis and management of dermatological conditions, including inflammatory skin diseases, skin cancer and complex cases. Sussex Community Dermatology Services (SCDS) and Kent Integrated Dermatology Services (KIDS) operate across the Sussex region, offering general dermatology, 2‑week wait pathways, and minor operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Run regular outpatient clinics throughout the week.
  • Deliver high‑quality care to patients referred from Primary and Secondary care within an outpatient setting.
  • Assess and manage a wide range of dermatological conditions, including skin cancer and inflammatory diseases.
  • Participate in Multi‑Disciplinary Teams and support junior clinicians as part of a collaborative team.
  • Provide day surgery, minor operations, dermoscopy, patch testing, photodynamic therapy and phototherapy services.
  • Triage a range of dermatoses effectively into clinics to enable a see‑and‑treat approach during the initial appointment.
  • Work with an experienced nurse‑prescribing team to manage patients on systemic and biologic therapies.
  • Contribute to the delivery of over 100,000 new patient consultations annually, including full cancer pathways, biologics and sub‑specialities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years experience working at Consultant level within the NHS.
  • Right to work in the United Kingdom.
  • GMC Specialist Registration.
  • Successful Disclosure and Barring Service check.
