We have an exciting opportunity for a full‑time Consultant to join our established Anaesthetic Department at Glenfield Hospital. The department supports Cardiothoracic Surgery, Cardiology, Respiratory Medicine, Vascular Surgery, Breast, HPB surgery, major Urology, Renal Transplant services, Nephrology and non‑theatre activities such as Imaging, ECT, Community Dentals, sedation lists for ERCP, Bronchoscopies, etc.
There are numerous opportunities for peri‑operative medicine as the Trust is embarking on a major POA (Pre‑operative Assessment) project with plans for a major expansion in high‑risk and MDT clinics to support the surgical services. The department is well supported for curriculum delivery and the holistic development of trainees with a well‑established leadership structure in education and training, including support for trainee leadership development.
