We are currently recruiting experienced Electrical Installation Engineers to join a growing specialist contractor delivering commercial and industrial electrical installation projects nationwide.
This is an excellent opportunity for electricians who enjoy installation work, want to earn £65,000+ per year, and don’t mind travelling to a variety of sites.
The Role
As an Electrical Installation Engineer, you’ll work on a range of commercial and industrial projects carrying out high-quality electrical installations.
Most projects are completed within normal working hours, with door-to-door pay ensuring you’re paid for your travel. Projects are located across the UK, although the majority of work can be completed without overnight stays.
Where a site is more than approximately two hours from home, you’ll have the option of staying away, with hotel accommodation and overnight allowances provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out commercial and industrial electrical installation works
- Install containment, cable tray, trunking, conduit and basket
- Install power, lighting and distribution systems
- Install wiring, control panels and associated electrical equipment
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
- Complete installations to BS7671 standards
- Carry out testing and commissioning where appropriate
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard
- Work closely with site supervisors and project managers
Essential Requirements
- JIB Gold Card (Essential)
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Experience carrying out commercial or industrial electrical installations
- Ability to work away from home when required
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Excellent workmanship and attention to detail
Desirable Qualifications
- 2391 Testing & Inspection
- IPAF
- PASMA
- ECS Approved Electrician
- Experience on large commercial, industrial or retail projects
