Job Overview

We are looking for an Assistant Inventory/Equipment Coordinator to join our Operational Support team based at our Safety Assessment site in Tranent. Operational Support is a complex and multi‑faceted department that requires a large amount of specialised and sensitive equipment to function. The role supports the equipment management function within the department.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing logistics, maintenance (working with external contractors), distribution and calibration of a wide variety of equipment and instruments.
  • Work with senior management and other departments to identify new equipment or solutions.
  • Provide administrative support and maintain up‑to‑date documentation relating to the equipment under their care.
  • Ensure daily consumables for all sub‑departments are fully stocked and available for use at all times.

Requirements

  • Minimum of standard grades or equivalent in Maths, English, and a Science.
  • Previous experience working within a regulated environment (GLP/GMP) is a distinct advantage.
  • Previous experience using electronic systems and databases.

Job Description

Provides administrative, logistical and technical support for Scientific staff conducting studies or supporting functions for operations of the laboratory. Coordinates all laboratory support, pre‑study activities, method development, method validation, study activities, data and/or reporting activities. Responsible for data review for completeness, quality or QC against the applicable protocol or procedure. May be responsible for drafting client correspondence, study correspondence, reporting or direct client interaction. Interacts with other departments, scientific staff, and sponsors either locally or across sites.

Salary

Starting salary for this role is £25,352.56 per annum.
