Mechanical Fitter/Welder

To carry out the fitting, fabrication, welding, and assembly of blower systems and components, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Your role ensures the delivery of safe, high-quality, and dependable units.

Daily Duties

• Blower Assembly & Installation: Fit blower units to various chassis and vehicles.
• Align and secure mechanical parts, pipework, and support structures.
• Fabrication & Welding: MIG weld brackets, air trunking, and assemblies.
• Operate workshop tools: cutting, bending, drilling, grinding.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Hydraulics & Pneumatics: Install and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic lines.
• Fit motors, valves, and cylinders as required.
• General Workshop Duties: Keep work areas clean and safe; ensure tools/equipment are maintained and functional.
• Follow all health & safety procedure.

Qualifications

• Experience with blower units, compressors, or pump systems.
• MIG welding and fabrication.
• Basic knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Ability to read technical drawings.
