Bedfordshire Police – Performance Researcher, Permanent Full Time, ERSOU – CTP, Stevenage, Scale 6 (Salary £33,603 – £37,000)
Role Overview
An exciting opportunity for a permanent Performance Researcher within the ERSOU Counter Terrorism Policing Analysis and Research team. The role is primarily office based with limited agile working.
Responsibilities
- Interrogate databases and systems to extract relevant data to inform regional performance understanding.
- Liaise with customers to define research requirements and clarify understanding.
- Collect and collate data in line with customer requirements.
- Add value by theming information and drawing links between datasets.
- Coordinate national performance returns for the region, meeting deadlines for each department.
- Monitor data quality and provide feedback to improve regional returns.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong numerical skills with confidence interpreting percentages, ratios, and averages.
- Ability to interrogate data from multiple systems under tight deadlines.
- Proven ability to work with Windows software including Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexible, self‑motivated approach to work.
Nice to Haves
- Experience in qualitative and quantitative research.
- Familiarity with customised databases and tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Current SC or DV vetting.
