Netley Court is a purpose-built 65‑bed residential care home located in the village of Netley Abbey, caring for dementia and residential residents.
We are looking for an Administration Assistant/Receptionist to work on an “as and when” basis covering annual leave and ad‑hoc sickness. Rotas are worked out in advance and you will receive notice of the days/weeks you will be required to work.
This role requires someone with a range of skills, good IT experience, and attention to detail.
In addition to reception duties you will provide additional administrative support to the Home Administrator on a daily basis, predominantly HR‑related administrative duties. You will also need a good knowledge of financial aspects of the role to cover the Administrator’s absence.
Main Responsibilities
- Welcome and greet visitors to the home in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring the visitor’s booking and identity are checked as far as reasonably practical.
- Answer the telephone and respond to enquiries at reception, redirect calls to relevant staff and record messages accordingly.
- Provide additional administrative support to the Home Administrator on a daily basis, predominantly HR‑related duties.
- Assist with recruitment tasks, sifting CVs, chasing references and verifying ID documents.
- Organise internal meetings and ensure that any requirements are acted upon.
- Coordinate the staff meal process as applicable to the individual home.
- Respond to any emergency situations as requested by the home.
- Maintain the general tidiness of the reception area, liaising with the housekeeping team to ensure standards are maintained.
