Hours: 37 hours per week & 0 hours (Relief/Bank) / Salary: £12.71 per hour (£24,519.88 pa / pro-rata) / Location: Isla Road, Perth, PA2 7HQ

About the Role
You’ll support the residents, staff, and Facilities Manager to deliver a comfortable, safe, and stimulating environment for all. The role requires smooth running of the facility through planned and reactive maintenance to provide the best possible standard for our buildings, services, and grounds across the Capability Scotland Estate. Manual handling and heavy lifting may be required, along with regular driving, supporting vulnerable customers to spend time outside the service.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills with a passion for helping disabled people live full and inclusive lives.
- Proven work experience in building services or engineering, including basic electrical, plumbing & joinery within commercial, social care or domestic settings.
- Problem solving skills, with a strong understanding of fire safety, health & safety, chemical handling, equipment storage and care.
- IT literacy/experience using the Microsoft suite of programs.
What you need to know
No two days will be the same in this diverse role: you could be decorating a service user’s room, or thinking outside the box to solve a technical issue that may jeopardise their safety. As part of the maintenance team, your actions really make a difference to service users’ daily lives.
Hours
37 hours (Monday‑Friday) or 0 hours relief/bank to cover existing AMO’s periods of leave.

Driving licence essential for this role – the appointed person will have access to our vehicles.
