Support Worker

Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will provide person‑centred care to older adults across Southampton and help them regain independence in their own homes.

Responsibilities

• Personal care
• Meal preparation and basic cooking
• Light household tasks
• Food shopping
• Companionship and emotional support

Requirements

• No prior experience required – full training provided
• Work AM/PM shifts and alternate weekends as per rota
• Good English communication skills
• Right to work in the UK, no sponsorship offered
• Drivers with a full UK licence, own vehicle and business insurance (community‑based role)

Work Conditions

• Locations: Across Southampton, Hedge End and Eastleigh
• Salary: £13.53 per hour plus enhanced pay for unsociable hours and double‑time for public holidays
• Paid mileage of 40p per mile
• Permanent contracts for full‑time and part‑time roles
• Consistent shift patterns: 7:00‑2:00, 4:00‑10:00, 6:00‑10:00; alternate weekend working on a two‑week rota, 4‑on 4‑off rota
