Relief Driver & Roadworker (Hoy) – As-Needed

Orkney Islands Council is seeking a Driver/Roadworker 2 based on the island of Hoy to undertake a range of roads and municipal activities, including winter maintenance. The role is on an as-and-when-required basis and requires you to be resident on Hoy.

The post includes a Level 1 Disclosure check; reporting to the Team Manager, Darren Bisby. Applications close on 2 August 2026. Salary is £15.94–£16.38 per hour, inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance.
