Learning Support Assistant – LSA
Location: Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth
Hours: 14.8 hours per week (0.4FTE)
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only – 40 weeks
Salary: Band E – £25,168.50 – £25,490.00 (Full Time Equivalent)

The SEND Team at East Coast College is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join them in providing invaluable support to both students and staff, optimising engagement, progression and achievement across our Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth campuses.
In this role you will work with a variety of students across a range of curriculum areas, understand and respect individual student needs, and collaborate closely with tutors to identify learning outcomes that drive student success.
Key responsibilities
- Work within SEND, providing learning support in classroom, workshop, work experience, trips and visits.
- Be flexible to support across both campuses.
- Engage in professional development such as First Aid, Manual Handling and SALT.
- Commit to safeguarding at all times.
Requirements
- Experience working with a wide range of learning and/or physical needs.
- Minimum Level 2 or equivalent in English and maths, evidenced.
- Commitment to safeguarding, promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
