About the Role
Join Hallmark Luxury Care Homes as a Maintenance Assistant. In this role you will support the comfort, safety and well‑being of residents by carrying out maintenance duties, fixing minor and major issues, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
What We’re Looking For
- Maintenance Experience – previous experience in a maintenance or handyman role.
- Health & Safety Knowledge – good understanding of health and safety regulations and a commitment to compliance.
- Communication Skills – clear written and verbal communication, able to interact warmly and professionally with residents, families and team members.
- IT Proficiency – intermediate skills with Microsoft Word and email.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain facilities in a clean and safe condition, completing routine repairs and troubleshooting mechanical or electrical problems.
- Apply a strong understanding of health and safety regulations to protect residents and staff.
- Engage with residents, families and colleagues in a respectful, supportive manner.
- Collaborate with the wider team to prioritise tasks, respond promptly to requests and promote a positive work environment.
