We’re looking for an afternoon Transport Operator to join our Leeds team on a full time, permanent basis (LS9 0SG). Working afternoons, you’ll play a central role in our transport operation-supporting drivers, speaking with customers, managing delivery schedules and keeping our systems accurate and up to date. Responsibilities
- Communicating delivery schedules to drivers
- Handling customer queries by phone and email
- Inputting accurate information into our systems (Excel skills are important)
- Acting as the main point of contact for order processing
- Building strong relationships with customers and stakeholders
- Escalating issues promptly to ensure service expectations are met
- Identifying and recommending solutions to delivery failures or customer queries
- Maintaining high standards of compliance
- Supporting the smooth running of all traffic office contracts
Qualifications
- Familiarity around transport procedures
- Strong IT skills, including Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Confidence in communicating with and supervising drivers
- Ability to build strong relationships with customers
- Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively
