About the Role
As an SEMH Teacher, you will deliver tailored lessons, manage challenging behaviour positively, and support students with a range of additional needs. This role is ideal for teachers who are patient, adaptable and passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to education and achieve positive outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to students with SEMH needs.
- Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
- Manage behaviour using consistent and supportive strategies.
- Create a safe, structured and inclusive classroom environment.
- Adapt learning to meet individual student needs and abilities.
- Work closely with support staff and external professionals where required.
- Maintain safeguarding and wellbeing standards at all times.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience working with students with SEMH or additional needs.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Calm, resilient and professional approach.
- Ability to build strong relationships and de-escalate challenging situations.
- Reliable and flexible availability.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Up-to-date CV with two references from the last 2 years.
- DBS registered to the update service or willingness to apply for one.
