The Role

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring French lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Foster pupils’ confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in French.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports progress for all learners.
  • Plan and deliver lessons that challenge and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
  • Monitor, assess, and track student progress, providing effective feedback to support attainment.
  • Contribute to the continued development of the French curriculum and departmental initiatives.
  • Promote an appreciation of French language and culture through enrichment activities and wider learning opportunities.

About You

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be working towards achieving it.
  • Have the ability to teach French across KS3 and KS4.
  • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for language learning.
  • Have high expectations of student achievement, behaviour, and engagement.
  • Be an effective classroom practitioner with excellent communication skills.
  • Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a successful and supportive team.
  • Be committed to delivering an inclusive and inspiring educational experience for all students.
