Overview
Nestled in the leafy village of Stockcross, Bayford House offers personalised care packages including residential, respite, nursing, palliative and Parkinson’s care. The home provides independent living suites for those in need of extra support or recovering from surgery.
Responsibilities
- Run morning and afternoon activity sessions for residents.
- Produce and update the activity planner for the home, working within the set activities budget.
- Organise birthday surprises, one‑to‑one sessions and day‑out events with external performers.
- Liaise with external companies and performers from the local community to organise days out and events at the home.
- Support the home’s social media channels as required.
- Provide creative, therapeutic activities such as arts and crafts, baking, book clubs, quizzes, meditation and wellbeing classes.
- Assist residents with reminiscing tools, puzzles, reading or tea and chat sessions.
Qualifications / Key Skills
- Creative thinker with plenty of ideas.
- Ability to manage budgets and maintain paperwork.
- Strong prioritisation skills and the ability to manage competing demands.
- Interest in caring for others and a desire to make a real difference.
- Excellent sense of humour and enthusiasm for improving people’s lives.
