Concierge / Security Officer

Chetham’s School of Music, located in Manchester, invites applications for a full‑time Concierge/Security Officer. The role involves a 12‑hour shift on a rota covering day and night duties, including coverage of colleagues’ leave as overtime.

Responsibilities

• Provide general security to the Chetham’s premises and grounds throughout the year
• Record and log all patrols
• Deliver courteous and professional service to staff, students, visitors, contractors and the general public, offering assistance, directions, help and accurate advice
• Cover shift rota, including day and night shifts, and cover colleague leave as overtime

Salary and Benefits

• Annual salary: £27,635.62 (Scale Point 16‑17)
• Paid annual leave: 20 days + 8 days = 6 weeks (including bank holiday allowance)

Qualifications

• Willingness to undergo child protection screening, including checks with past employers and Disclosure and Barring Service
